Examples of Thai Tracings Digital Imagery

 

Example of compositing used to embed images of Bangkok traffic in the bodies of traditional folk dancers, to indicate the presence of the past in the present, and the present in the past.

Further example of compositing used to embed images of contemporary Bangkok in the body of a traditional dancer,

Example of compositing of processed video imagery (a 'digital' shadow puppet) and a 21st century environment to reveal the interplay between past and present in Thai society.

Most of these images are taken directly from the Isadora software program that was created for Thai Tracings. They show the ways in which various images have been composited to open for comment the implications of the interplay between past and present in Thai society.
